Our approach to coaching starts with understanding each leader’s unique business challenges and the critical criteria to be successful. We then identify:

  • Current strengths, including his/her developmental level of meaning-making
  • Potential de-railers
  • Strength and source of his/her motivation to develop
  • Existing or needed support systems and partners
  • A few challenging but achievable goals
  • Measures of progress and success

The coaching process is customized to each leader’s individual needs and preferred learning style and utilizes a range of approaches that include:

  • Asking targeted questions to promote reflection and discovery
  • Mentoring in missing skills and levels of conceptualizing issues
  • Ongoing feedback from key people who relate to and work with him/her
  • Action assignments to learn and practice new ways of behaving
  • Pre-briefing and debriefing critical incidents and meetings
